TheDetroitBureau.com spent three days in San Diego recently putting the 2023 Lexus RZ through its paces. And at 7 a.m. Monday morning, we get to share what we think of the luxury brand’s first fully electric vehicle.

Kia EV9 Concept - beauty shot
The new U.S. plant could potentially produce the Kia EV9 electric crossover.

We got plenty of time behind the wheel of the electric crossover dubbed the RZ 450e. In fact, if you’re hearing this, our first drive review is likely live on the website.

Two hours later at 9 a.m. share our thoughts about the new Subaru Crosstrek. Coming for the 2024 model year, the new crossover gets a slew of updates — and we’ll have opinions about all of them.

On Tuesday at 5 p.m., we also get to offer up some early impressions from Kia’s next electric vehicle, the EV9. We traveled all the way to Seoul, South Korea to get an up-close-and-personal look at the large crossover coming from the automaker. We’re just sad we didn’t get to drive it — at least not yet.

We’ll also be keeping tabs on the still too-close-to-call runoff election for the presidency of the UAW. Incumbent Ray Curry was trailing upstart Shawn Fain by more than 600 votes heading into last weekend.

However, there are more than 1,600 “challenged” votes that the court-appointed monitor of the union must sort through. The ballots, for a variety of reasons, must be examined closely as part of a hand-counting process.

Those votes won’t be fully counted until the end of the week so it’s unclear if we’ll event have a winner declared by Friday. One thing is for certain, the already announced winners of other posts within the UAW leadership shows the rank-and-file was ready for serious change.
