What Will Be The Best Mobile Game Of 2023 At The Game Awards? – Droid Gamers

It’s that time of year again. The Game Awards are underway and gamers everywhere are invited to weigh in on their picks for the best games in various different categories. Of course, at Droid Gamers there’s one category that’s a big deal to us. The Game Awards Best Mobile Game.

There are some completely unsurprising ones, some we didn’t quite expect, and one that’s on iOS so we don’t care about it.

For those left confused by the lineup, let’s briefly go over the contenders for TGA’s best mobile game of 2023.

Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis

While it was originally planned for release last year, Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis finally dropped in September. It’s easy to see why the gacha took a while in the oven.
The game is an ambitious recreation of highlights from across the FF7 canon. While it’s slimmed down in terms of content and battle system complexity, it’s hard not to enjoy a more traditional rework of the classics into a more modern format.

Honkai Star Rail

A pick that will surprise approximately no-one if they’ve been keeping an eye on gaming news this year. MiHoYo’s futuristic fantasy epic combines the killer attributes of having a massive amount of content,, looking gorgeous, and being free to play.

This one seems like a very strong contender.

Monster Hunter Now

One of the more recent releases on the list, Monster Hunter Now is Monster Hunter’s answer to Pokemon Go, and is another from Niantic’s stable. Even with brand recognition aside, there are definitely reasons to like it.

Good visuals and a surprisingly fun and satisfying combat mechanic make it an enjoyable way to kill time while you’re out and about.

Terra Nil

One we didn’t necessarily think of immediately when the topic of ‘top mobile games of 2023’ came up. Terra Nil came to our platform earlier this year courtesy of Netflix.

It’s the antithesis of a city builder. Instead of creating buildings and factories, you encourage a healthy eco system and try to return the world to unspoiled narture.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Hello Kitty Island Adventure may well be a perfectly solid title. Unfortunately for it, the game is only available on iOS so we have zero interest in it. Are we being unfair? They should have thought of that before they signed up to Apple Arcade.

We’d love to hear who you think deserves the Game Awards Best Mobile Game crown. If you think none of them do, we’d also love to hear your own choice for the best this year. We’re pretty certain the selection above won’t appeal to everyone.
