The Fiend Rose is a rare and valuable resource needed to upgrade equipment. Although you can “need” it very early in the game, you won’t be able to reliably farm it until much later.

In the early stages of the game it is possible to come across a Fiend Rose, but literally, we mean one or two between levels 1 and 50. When you are exploring you will sometimes find Silent Chests, unique chests that are locked and require a key from the Occult trader in town to open. During our time playing through the game we opened several Silent Chests but only ever found a single Fiend Rose.

The first thing you need to do is to reach level 50 and unlock World Tier 3: Nightmare by completing the Cathedral Of Light Capstone Dungeon . Once you have access to World Tier 3 make sure you are in World Tier 3 and then wait for an event to start. You are waiting for the Helltide event. During The Helltide Rises events part of the map becomes blood red and new enemies spawn there. They last for 30-40 minutes. You’re usually meant to farm the enemies inside for a special currency and then use that currency to open chests.

However, this is also where you find the Fiend Rose. They are very rare but as you are exploring search for a small red plant. Much like the other plants you can find in the game, once you have found it, you can simply approach it to pick it.
