World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) plans to release a one-of-one John Cena Platinum NFT (Non-Fungible Token) by this Friday at 8 PM EST.
Cena Platinum NFT will take place by the same time when the go-home edition of SmackDown before SummerSlam strikes the air on FOX. In detail, The Undertaker NFTs were planned to give in four different tiers. This includes Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum starting from the most basic to the advanced.
On August 20, 2021, a 24-hour auction for the Cena Platinum NFT will start at 8 PM. Notably, many Cena-based NFTs will be present for fans to buy or bid on. However, the NFT release is the second NFT release that WWE undertakes. This came after WWE had success with their NFT release for The Undertaker during WrestleMania 37 weekend.
The Platinum tier will get a one-of-a-kind NFT, a WrestleMania experience for two for the WrestleMania 38 or 39 release (two front row tickets, VIP Access, hotel accommodations). Along with a customized WWE Championship Title Belt, and a Dr. of Thuganomics chain which Cena utilized at WrestleMania 35. Even more, many other Cena-based NFTs are present for fans to bid on.
As per the WWE announcement, there is a Gold Tier release that will add 500 limited editions NFTs. And also a limited-edition merch box which personally Cena curates.
Cena posted a tweet on Monday “Five days until SummerSlam”,
WWE Senior Vice President, Revenue Strategy & Development Scott Zanghellini said,
The Summer of Cena will be capped off by a phenomenal main event at SummerSlam as well as an opportunity for the WWE Universe to own unique collectibles inspired by one of the biggest stars in Hollywood today.
Moreover, the SummerSlam will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas this Saturday, August 21. It will stream live on Peacock and WWE Network at 8 PM EST/ 5 PM PST.
Last week, the wrestling organization dropped its first NFT collection indicating The Undertaker, with the highest-selling NFT going for $100K through auction.
