While this chapter is over a decade old, this was interesting news.

Dear Prof. Barbour,

I hope this message finds you well. I am proud to inform you that a publication that you contributed to, Teacher Education Programs and Online Learning Tools (https://www.igi-global.com/book/teacher-education-programs-online-learning/63882), was recently indexed by Web of Science’s Book Citation Index, one of the world’s leading databases for academic research. Your work now aligns with over 1 billion journal articles, research reports, curriculum and teaching guides, conference papers, dissertations and theses, and books.

IGI Global takes great pride in receiving commendable endorsements and indexing for its titles and we greatly appreciate your contribution to this recognized reference.

If you are interested in publishing with IGI Global again, we invite you to view current Calls for Chapters or consider editing or authoring your own book project.

Though the work is clearly receiving wide usage from the research community, we ask that you continue to promote your work in order to further increase its impact within the academic community. Here are some actions you can take to increase your manuscript’s citation rate:

  • Recommend the full publication to your institution’s library using this link: https://www.igi-global.com/forms/recommend-to-librarian/63882
  • Share the title and abstract with your network
  • Create a short video on your research. For instructions, please refer here
  • Recommend the publication to your colleagues and students.
  • Share the publication of the research via conferences and events

If you haven’t published under Open Access already, IGI Global offers a Retrospective Open Access Program to convert any of your previously published work to Open Access with a discounted Chapter Processing Charge (CPC). Open Access can significantly increase the usage of a chapter as it allows you to post the full-text version of the chapter everywhere.

This is a very impressive achievement, and you should feel proud. IGI Global will continue our efforts to index your manuscript in further prestigious indices in the future. We appreciate your continued support and, once again, congratulations on this amazing achievement for your manuscript.
