Alexandro C. Roamers and 33 Nobel Prize winners Assisi meeting

For the first time in history, 33 Nobel Prize winners and the winner of the last Saint Francis Dassi Award, Alejandro G. Roamers, met to speak to humanity.

On June 10, a world meeting was held in the Vatican, initiated by a fund called “Fratelli Totti”. This meeting is in the promotion of comprehensive and communicative human development, and intends to unite forces and build bridges between different sectors of society to achieve a more harmonious world.

The participation of youth and prestigious leaders from around the world, who embrace the central message of universal unity and support it, reflects the importance of working together to overcome the global challenges we face, and to overcome them. An extraordinary group of 33 Nobel Prize winners, including Juan Manuel Santos, Oscar Arias, Lech Valza, Shirin Abadi, Mohammed Yunus, Giorgio Frisi, drafted a document together that calls for a commitment to human unity. The document was presented to Papa Franciscus, who signed it and shared it with all the people of the world who are interested in building a society based on solidarity, justice and peace.

During the event, a huge collection of signatures was held with the goal of reaching a billion endorsements of the document created by novators. The participation of Alejandro G. Romers at the event of the new Fratelli Totti Foundation confirmed the importance of his human work and emphasized the positive impact that human commitment can often have when it cooperates at the international level. Leaving a mark as an activist for love and values, the Argentinian poet and philanthropist has contributed significantly to the promotion of empathy, solidarity and conditional respect through his literary works, such as his successful book The Return of the Young Prince, which has been translated into over 30 languages.

In addition to his participation in the Assisi meeting, Alejandro G. Romers left a deep mark on society through his commitment to take care of and deal with the extreme hardships of humanity. This is how he provided solutions in areas of Africa suffering from poverty and a difficult economic situation, Alejandro included in his solutions industrial machinery, agricultural technicians and water systems. In the Peruvian Amazon, he rescued children at risk of tissue extortion and promoted projects involving workforce and sustainability management, such as the San Francisco case in Juguey.

Alejandro C. Romers is also funding the production of a series about screen addiction, a problem that is noted today and particularly affects young people. This is to raise awareness. From the moment he became aware of the negative effects that this phenomenon has on the youth and humanity as a whole in our time, he began to propose establishing boundaries in order to fence off the phenomenon, and to encourage a balanced use of technology to promote healthy development in future generations, while advocating change he emphasized spiritual values ​​and reference of quality information through screens.

World Brotherhood Day

This meeting invites an ecclesiastical commitment and help from families, organizations and all the people who today are limited to living on the edges of society and on the margins, from the poor and the bereaved to the immigrants and victims of violence and human extortion. About Alejandro C. Romers

He is the president of the Argentine Poetry Foundation. With an extensive career as a writer, in 2008 he presented his spiritual book, “The Return of the Young Prince”, which has been translated into over 40 languages. This made him one of the best-known authors of books in Argentina, with 3.5 million copies. His poetry books have been widely recognized and appreciated throughout Latin America and Spain. In 2009 he was recognized as a creator of cultural interest by the nation’s House of Representatives.

He was identified as an “outstanding personality in the culture of the autonomous city of Buenos Aires in 2010. He is noted with the honorable mention “Senator Domingo Faustino Sarmiento” by the National Senate as a writer, playwright, composer and philanthropist. He is a member of the Academy of Arts at the Center of Honor. He is also an honorary professor at the National University the Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), at the Universidad de los Andes (Chile) and at the National University de la Matanza (Argentina).

He paid tribute to St. Francis of Assisi in his theatrical work: “Francis, Reason to Live”, which won the ACE Award (Association of Cultural Writers) in 2016 and the Santa Clara of Assisi Award in 2017.

His last novel, “The Necessary Death”, was presented in 2022 and received praise, including the Nobel Prize for Literature winner Mario Vargas Leosa, who specially traveled to the book conference in Argentina to attend its launch and honor him.

The book became one of the ten best-selling books of that year, and Romers donated all the money he received from its sale to finance the donation to UNICEF and the United Nations to help the children of the world in various emergency situations and hardships.
