Great list from Tor.com that goes beyond the obvious (yet still awesome) Poe verses to get you in the mood for today’s celebrations and festivities! There’s something about a spooky poem that’s just like, way spookier than a spooky tv episode or a spooky short story, probably something to do with its ability to get stuck in your head.
It’s early evening, the sky is dusky and you’ve just gotten cosy on an old rocking chair, with a blanket on your knees and a mug of pumpkin spice at your elbow. Or, you’re lying awake blotchy-eyed at 2 am, fully intent on scaring yourself beyond sleep.
