BIG terminate gade's contract citing mutual agreement

BIG have announced on their official Twitter account that the organization and benched rifler Nicklas “gade” Gade have mutually agreed to a contract termination, giving the Dane freedom to pursue different opportunities.

gade has been out of action since December of 2021 when BIG replaced him with Josef “faveN” Baumann from fellow German side Sprout in a move of “unprecedented size in German CS”. This saw the Dane moved to the inactive roster after the team’s lackluster back half of the year.

gade has been out of action for the past eight months

The Danish rifler found himself without a team in early July of last year when his previous squad HYENAS disbanded. BIG quickly scooped him up and announced the signing the very next day, where he would fill in the spot vacated by the outgoing Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş.

Despite having shaken things up within the roster, BIG‘s struggles continued as they put up extremely poor results in notable tournaments, such as finishing 17-20th at EPL Season 14, 9-11th at the PGL Major Stockholm Challengers Stage, and 9th-12th at IEM Winter. The string of poor results all led to gade‘s benching at the end of the year in favor of the incoming faveN, and the Dane has been out of action ever since.
