The Amsterdam-based BTC mining company BitFury launches a Bitcoin mining facility in Canada which will launch with an operational capacity of 16MW while an additional 12MW will be beaded by the end of May. The tech company focused on digital asset mining but now it has more plans for Scandinavia, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe. According to the recent press release, it will double down on the North American operations as well especially now with the new mining facility in Canada.

The new facility will be equipped with the appropriate blockchain software and hardware solutions and It will employ specialized ASIC chips and other mining equipment. BitFury’s CEO Brian Brooks noted that the current demand for digital assets is quite high and as such, he asserted that the company will for best in class infrastructure and proven operational expertise to serve as the main partner of choice for the clients and investors across the world.

BitFury’s head of data Center development and Operations Oleg Blinkov said the company aims to provide mining solutions that harness the benefits of optimal energy and high-performance equipment that is unmatched for data center management experience. In addition, he described North America as a strategic region for the endeavors of the company:

Founded in 2011, the company is among the first players in the field and it revealed intentions to go public by November 2022. with a valuation of over $1 billion, the company has some major backers like Galaxy Digital by Mike Novogratz. After his arrival, Valery Vavilov as the former CEO of Bitfury became chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Vision officer. Brooks vowed to establish the company among the European leaders in the digital asset industry and pointed out Bitfury’s most notable qualities like innovative nature and superior technology. He also served as an Interim Head of Office for the Comptroller of the currency during the Trump administration and is a keen proponent of blockchain technology:
