Crowdfunding Tip – ThingLink

One not so obvious crowdfunding tip!

Her’s a crowdfunding tip that can give your crowdfunding campaign a really cool leg up on the other campaigns.  A few days ago I was researching some planner and journal campaigns and I cam across the Freedom Journal.  If you’re unfamiliar with the journal, it’s a planner that assists you in achieving your goals in 100 days or less.  While the planner may be cool, I was more interested in the images on the page.

Check out the image below.  Do you see the little video play buttons?

Check out what happens when I click on one of them.  A video pops up and start playing.

Why Is This Important?

It’s important for a few reasons.  Here at Krowdster, I always seek to provide you with real actionable crowdfunding tips.  This image was created with a tool called Thing Link.  It allows you to create clickable images that can display images, video, text, and link out to other sources.  The reason WHY this is so valuable when crowdfunding is because you only have a very narrow area to tell your story.  Most crowdfunders make the mistake of adding in too much information, embedded videos, and images everywhere.  With Thing Link you can create one master image, and then give your audience the option of linking out to other materials.

You see, most people are visual.  They like looking at the pictures but they also want to see video, hear sound recordings, and read text.  Thing Link allows you to do all of this with just one simple to use and free software!

What Can You Build?

I encourage you to check out Thing Link’s featured page.  .  It has a ton of really cool images that have been created by other users.  Just spending 5 minutes on this page will inspire you to create something truly unique for your own crowdfunding campaign.

This concludes this week’s crowdfunding tip!

Happy Crowdfunding!
