Not all weapons are created equal. Some of them are Shotguns the size of a couple of city buses that deliver shells the size of family saloon cars. I love the weapons in Armored Core 6, I love their size, sounds, damage, and design. It is everything I hoped for when I found out FromSoftware was building a new Armored Core game. The Zimmerman shotgun in Armored Core 6 is the true essence of what mech warrior combat should be, and once you get your hands on it, you’ll understand why.

Unlike a number of the other powerful weapons in Armored Core 6, the Zimmerman Shotgun doesn’t require searching for. You simply need to progress through Armored Core 6 far enough to find it sitting there in the shop. Once you have progressed past the Ocean Crossing mission (Mission 14), you can buy it for 115,000 Coam.

This mission is no cakewalk. You need to defeat the Sea Spider. This boss has given a lot of players a lot of grief, but thankfully for you, we have a very comprehensive guide on just how to do it. Once you have completed this Armored Core Boss, though, you can pack some serious Zimmerman shotgun heat.

About the Zimmerman

The Zimmerman is a powerhouse of Impact and AP damage. The large-density shells can hammer at an enemy even from a decent distance, making them a favorite for players. Equipping two of these, one on each arm, will deliver absolute devastation to the stagger bar and then, further, to the health of any Armored Core.

The reload time is not too much of an issue, which is a common problem for video game shotguns, so you can keep up a pretty heavy barrage with these two Armored Core guns. Once you have them unlocked, they are well worth giving a test run, especially as there is no penalty for buying and reselling in the game.
