Baldur’s Gate 3: How to get the Dark Urge Slayer Form

To unlock Slayer Form, you need to be doing a Dark Urge playthrough. To do that, you need to select Dark Urge, the Origin Character, at the beginning of a campaign. You receive Slayer Form from Sceleritas Vel after you kill Isobel (after saving her) and take a Long Rest. Isobel is first found in Last Light Inn in Act 2.

Luckily the Slayer Form is rather easy to get in Baldur’s Gate 3. It just takes a good bit of time to work through the Dark Urge storyline. So, first up, just play through the game and take on the Dark Urge story as it presents itself. And whenever the murderous inclinations take over your character you should just roll with it. Eventually, you’ll meet a character at your camp called Sceleritas Vel. He rewards you for the dark deeds you’ve done so far with the Deathstalker Mantle.

We then need to get to Act 2 to further the Dark Urge storyline, and it’s during this section of the game that we’ll unlock the Slayer Form. During Act 2, you need to go to the Last Light Inn and speak to Isobel. This is where an encounter will play out where someone tries to capture Isobel, but you need to save her. I know that saving someone might seem weird for the overall goal here, but this is key to getting the Slayer Form in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Once you save her, Sceleritas Vel will appear once again at camp and tell you to kill her. Go ahead and do it but be warned that the Last Light Inn will no longer be a safe space when you do. The barrier protecting the area from the Shadowlands Curse will dispel, and cause nearly everyone in the camp to become zombies. It’s best to get yourself a Moonlantern before this point so you can protect yourself from the curse.

After Isobel is dead, return to camp and perform a Long Rest. Sceleritas Vel will appear once again and reward you with the Slayer Form in Baldur’s Gate 3. This form turns your character into a hulking brute with a lot of HP. You also get multiple attacks that do a lot of damage. Unfortunately, need to do a few bad things to get it, but that’s what evil playthroughs are meant for after all.

What does Slayer Form do in BG3?

Dark Urge Slayer Form in Baldur’s Gate 3 not only looks very cool but also features many useful attacks. Your total HP, carrying capacity, movement speed, and AC improve in Slayer Form. Here are all the attacks and abilities you get while in Slayer Form:

• Slay – 6d6 + Strength or Dexterity modifier slashing damage. If the target is Bleeding, apply Contagion Poisoned. If the target is Prone, it’s a Critical Hit. If the target is Bleeding and Prone, it’s a Critical Hit that may apply Stricken with Flesh Rot.
• Multiattack – 1d4 slashing damage four times. If the target is Bleeding, deal additional damage with your Strength or Dexterity modifier. If the target is Dazed, it’s a Critical Hit.
• Sumptuous Blood Bath – Apply Bleeding to a target which heals you.
• Let the Slaughter Begin – Marked targets are Dazed and you get one AC when they die.
• Relentless Lunge – 4d6 + Strength or Dexterity modifier bludgeoning damage. Leap at foes and possibly knock them Prone.
• Piercing Growl – 3d8 + Strength or Dexterity modifier piercing damage. Possibly inflicts Bleed and Fearful on targets.
• Dismiss: Slayer – Dismiss your Slayer Form.
