The Inside Quantum Technology conference in The Hague in April 2024 is set to feature Dr. Florian Kaiser, currently leading the Quantum Materials Group at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST). Dr. Kaiser’s extensive background and accomplishments in quantum technologies, particularly in color centers in semiconductor silicon carbide, position him as a key figure in this rapidly advancing field.

Dr. Kaiser’s journey in quantum technologies began with his doctoral studies, which he completed in 2012 at Université Côte d’Azur, focusing on nonlinear optics for frequency conversion and quantum optical communications. His academic excellence was marked by the best possible graduation grade, showcasing his deep understanding and innovative approach to quantum physics.

Following his Ph.D, Dr. Kaiser further expanded his expertise at the University of Stuttgart, where he served as an Assistant Professor from January 2018 to September 2022. During his tenure, he delved into research that included the development of electronic feedback circuits for lasers, cavities, and interferometers and creating LabVIEW measurement and analysis programs. His work at the University of Stuttgart also involved extensive collaboration on several European and national projects, underlining his role in advancing quantum technology research on a broader scale.

Before his current position at LIST, Dr. Kaiser also gained valuable experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Université Côte d’Azur and as a Laser Engineer at DESY in Hamburg, Germany. His work in pulsed laser sources—covering research, development, synchronization, stabilization, and the optimization of operation parameters—contributed significantly to the field of laser engineering and quantum technologies.

At the Inside Quantum Technology conference in April 2024, Dr. Kaiser is expected to share groundbreaking insights from his current research at LIST, particularly on quantum technologies based on color centers in semiconductor silicon carbide. His role as the Quantum Materials Group Leader at LIST involves pushing the boundaries of quantum technology and exploring new materials and methods that could revolutionize the industry.

Dr. Kaiser’s expertise is not limited to research alone; he has also fostered international collaboration in quantum technology as vice-chair of IMEKO’s technical committee 25 “quantum measurement and information.” This role highlights his commitment to advancing global understanding and application of quantum technologies.

Given his profound expertise and contributions to the field, Dr. Kaiser’s presentation at the Inside Quantum Technology conference is eagerly awaited by professionals and enthusiasts alike. His insights are expected to provide a deeper understanding of quantum technologies’ current state and future potential, particularly in the realm of semiconductor materials and quantum communications.

IQT The Hague 2024 is the Netherlands’ fifth global conference and exhibition. The Hague is a Quantum Technology Event focusing on Quantum Networking and Quantum Security. Ten vertical topics encompassing more than 40-panel talks from over 100 speakers will provide attendees with a deep understanding of state-of-the-art developments of the future quantum internet and the current impact of quantum-safe technologies on cybersecurity and quantum computers.

The conference brings together corporate management, entrepreneurs, end users, technology providers, infrastructure partners, researchers, and investors working on current developments. IQT The Hague is organized by 3DR Holdings, IQT Research, QuTech, QIA (Quantum Internet Alliance), and Quantum Delta, who will bring leading organizations and professionals together in this important event. The April conference is “in-person” to ensure maximum networking and discussion at the Postillion Hotel & Convention Centre in The Hague.
