MEW Survey Finds Half Of Eth Wallet Users Prefer Mobile

MyEtherWallet has conducted an extensive user base survey to understand what Ethereum users are looking for as the industry grows.

MEW (MyEtherWallet), the leading platform for accessing the best of the Ethereum ecosystem, today announced findings from their first customer survey. Respondents claimed that high security, ease-of-use, and additional services offered through mobile applications would be the most important considerations when choosing platforms to access Ethereum, DeFi, NFTs, and the greater ecosystem of blockchains.

The survey was conducted anonymously online over 30 days, with over 3,000 users providing their feedback on how they currently interact with the Ethereum ecosystem, their satisfaction with the platforms available, and how involved they plan to be in crypto throughout 2022.

Initial findings from MEW users concluded that:

● Half of ethereum wallet users prefer using mobile platforms

● One in every two users’ select platforms based on privacy features

● Over 50% of users are actively recommending platforms to their friends and family as they onboard to crypto

“Privacy is at the foundation of the Ethereum ecosystem and MEW has prided itself on never collecting users’ personal data,” said Brian Norton, COO of MEW. “Our survey project is another way we can understand and innovate towards what users want from MEW and other platforms, as the ecosystem continues to grow.”

Ethereum’s growth in 2021 outpaced Bitcoin, as it welcomed millions of new users every day through the DeFi sector and NFT platforms. Last year, MEW 6 – a milestone upgrade to the original Ethereum wallet interface – saw over 100,000 users participate in its Beta program. That program showcased the growing willingness from the community to help MEW develop the best resources for user experience, and led to the survey initiative.
