Moonton Games is launching a one-of-a-kind collegiate esports league, Mobile Legends Bang Bang x Alchemy Esports. The league’s group stage promises intense competition among university teams in North America.

Set to feature around 20 universities from the East and West Coasts of the United States, the event will kick off on January 13th for the East Coast. For the West Coast, it’ll start on January 20th. Although Mobile Legends: Bang Bang isn’t very big in North America. So, the new college league will probably help them expand the gaming community beyond Southeast Asia.

The Gaming Ivy League

The participating universities will engage in online group stage battles before advancing to the knockout stage and regional finals. The eventual champions from each region will get invited to the offline Grand Finals. In this finale of Mobile Legends North America x Alchemy Esports, they will vie for the lion’s share of an enticing $6,000 prize pool!

Mobile Legends Bang Bang is a 5v5 MOBA game set in the Land of Dawn. It has more than 120 heroes, fictional and real-life, and five game modes. If you haven’t tried the game out yet, get it from the Google Play Store. The title offers a lot of excitement, from epic heroes to adventurous battlefield features.

What Is Alchemy Esports?

Alchemy Esports is a California-based tournament organiser that promotes esports culture in the USA. It often collaborates with colleges and universities to introduce majors on esports, organise varsity games and develop exchange programs and camps.

The Mobile Legends Bang Bang x Alchemy Esports Academy Campus Tournament is currently open for signups. The student unions of the varsities are taking charge of organising their respective teams. If you’re a varsity student, then give your union a heads up!
