Move Over NFTs, Immaterial Art Is Next Big (No)Thing

Source Node: 882830

Have you bought enough Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) to fill you house yet?

If you’re looking for the next big thing in the art world (and who isn’t), how about the world’s first “immaterial” sculpture?

This one was created by the Italian artist (and genius IMHO) Salvatore Garau.

The big benefits of immaterial art is its zero carbon footprint, unlike those cryptocurrency like NFTs that cost a fortune in electricity to make and hold.

The current piece on sale, titled “I Am” (I guess you fill in the blank after that) was (actually) sold for 15,000 Euros to a collector of, well, not sure of what, although s/he got a certificate of authenticity.

The artwork “must be placed in a space that allows the dimensions of approximately 4.9 x 4.9 ft (150 x 150 cm) to be free of any obstructions.”

The box and the sculpture are in the photo below, and yes, the sculpture is INVISIBLE!
