  • Middle-East’s leading International Art Fair will be open on March 11, 2022.
  • The Art Dubai will showcase artworks of 100 exhibitors.
  • NFT and metaverse digital works will be a new section at the art fair.

The Dubai Art Fest, organized at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, will display digital artworks including NFTs and metaverse art. This is the 15th edition of the art fest that will showcase contemporary art practices and rich cultural heritage from across the globe, especially those from the Middle East and other territories in the Asian and African continents, and also Latin America.

Art Dubai exhibits the artistic skills of several artists across the world. There are four main gallery sections: Contemporary, Modern, Bawwaba, and Art Dubai Digital. The NFT artworks will be a unique addition to the Digital section. The fest that starts on March 11 and ends on March 13, will introduce a new section — Digital gallery — to the viewers.

Some of the titles of digital and NFT artworks include DASTAN X NFTation, Keumsan Gallery, Emergeast, Cyber Baat, and Institut.

Besides the four-sectioned gallery, the show will also feature artworks from Asian communities like NFT Asia who are invited to bring their artistic products to the venue. NFT Asia is an open and inclusive community focused on inspiring Asia-based artists and creatives.

The Art Dubai Digital section will be curated by Chris Fussner, a New York-based cultural researcher from the Tropical Futures Institute.

Meanwhile, the Art Dubai Contemporary will exhibit artworks from around the world, including those from emerging art scenes, and established centers.

The Art Dubai Modern will display artworks of modern masters from the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia region (MENASA) region. This section will feature exceptional artworks of 20th-century artists capturing specific geo–historical contexts.

Bawwaba — ‘Gateway’ in Arabic, will show art pieces created in the past years.

Surprisingly, this edition of Art Dubai promises to be the most substantial one with more than 100 exhibitors from 44 different countries. Moreover, as the event will launch Digital Art, chances are that the viewers will be enthralled. People can explore NFTs, cryptocurrency, metaverse, video arts, and virtual reality creatives in the exhibition.
