Polygon-ETH Bridge Is Bringing Aavegotchi NFTs To Rarible: Report

A polygon-ETH bridge is bringing Aavegotchi NFTs to Rarible Marketplace while the Gotchi Bazaar is the biggest marketplace on Polygon with more than $10.9 million in sales over the past month alone so let’s read more in our Ethereum news today.

The new Polygon to Ethereum bridge is helping bring the Aavegotchi NFTs to the Rarible marketplace as the teams explained in a press release. Alex Salnikov who is the co-founder of Rarible explained:

Given the rising popularity of the play-to-earn model, and the love Aavegotchi ghosts have been getting, it made perfect sense to partner with Aavegotchi and bring their cutting-edge NFTs to the Ethereum ecosystem in mass for the very first time. We’re excited to bridge the Rarible and Aavegotchi communities together, welcoming new collectors and gamers to the Rarible ecosystem.”

Each Aavegotchi is a DeFi-staked collectible NFT ghost that is assigned to a randomized rarity score and traits and they are also 100% on-chain playable NFTs. The Gotchis can earn XP and swag up their looks by equipping wearables and increasing the rarity to compete for rewards in GHST tokens. The latest “rarity farming” boasted over $1 million worth of rewards on the top 5000 Aavegotchis. The native in-game NFT marketplace Gotchi Bazaar is the biggest NFT marketplace on Polygon with more than $10.9 million in sales in the past month alone.

The community was waiting for Aavegotchi to arrive on ETH for quite some time now but the wait is finally over. Aavegotchis started migrating to Ethereum in mass for the first time via the built-in Polygon-ETH bridge for NFTs. The launch makes Aavegotchi one of the first NFT projects to originate on the bridge back to Etheruem while Rarible is really excited to team up with Aavegotchi to become the new ETH home of choice for the community.

Rarible.com users that are buying and selling items from the Aavegotchi collection will be eligible for 3x $RARI rewards for two weeks starting this Monday. The rewards are expected to increase their trading activity across the Rarible.com marketplace and onboard more users to explore the artistry of the creators. Rarible experienced huge success in the past year and the partnership is one milestone among most that are growing in the Rarible community. The revenue growth for the platform since 2020 is projected to be up 15x and amounted up to $14 million for 2021 revenue.
