  • Snoop Dogg launches his own NFT collection in The Sandbox metaverse.
  • Each avatar in the collection will have unique traits and features.
  • The entire collection sold out shortly after it was launched.

Snoop Dogg has launched a collection of 10,000 unique NFTs in The Sandbox, each with unique traits and features.

The famous rapper made an announcement on Twitter recently to notify his large number of followers of the launch of his NFT collection that will consist of 10,000 playable NFTs. Each NFT has been designed and crafted by the rapper himself. This limited-edition collection will be called “The Doggies”.

This announcement follows Snoop Dogg’s announcement of the conversion of Death Row into the world’s first NFT music label. The NFT collection was launched on February 22 2022, just before the opening of Alpha Season 2 in The Sandbox.

According to the collection’s official website, each avatar in the collection will “unlock unique utility” that will extend “beyond a simple NFT”, and will be “playable in The Sandbox”. Players who own avatars from the collection will be able to unlock future features and mints in the metaverse.

The Snoop Dogg avatars have been programmatically generated, and are voxelated NFTs that feature over 150 traits. The avatars will be playable in the second season of the game. This will allow owners to attend events and concerts, complete quests, hang out with friends, and explore the metaverse.

The NFTs will be launched into different rarity tiers. These tiers are Human, Blue, Alien, Zombie, Dogg, Robot, and Golden. Two thirds of the collection will be standard, but they will each have unique traits and features to make them stand out from the rest of the collection.

The entire collection was sold out shortly after launching, as people were eager to own a part of the collection in the newly opened Alpha Season 2 of the game.
