Graph Blockchain’s subsidiary New World Inc partnered with the Soccer superstar Ronaldinho and as a result, the former player of FC Barcelona will be the official global ambassador of the blockchain project. One of the biggest soccer players under the name Ronaldo de Assis Moreira made a deal with the Canadian blockchain entity New World so now the 41-year old will play the key role in the company’s efforts to launch an NFT platform. The holder of the Balon d’Or for 2005 will serve as the main ambassador of the New World and as such, he will create exclusive events and NFT experiences for his millions of fans.
He will also work with the co-founder of Diogo Snow which is a company that produced numerous digital collectibles for celebrity clients like Drake and Fetty Wap. Ronaldinho noted:
“I understand the influence I have on my supporters, and engaging with my fans has always been so important to me, which is why I have decided to become the global ambassador for New World.
The global growth of the NFT market has been truly amazing, and this platform allows fans to interact with their favorite athletes, artists, and celebrities in a way that has never been done before.”
The CEO of Graph Blockchain Paul Haber described the collaboration as a beneficial tool for his company while the Brazilian soccer player has exceptional exposure that can take New World to the next level. The company will also issue four million common shares subject to regulatory approval like the one from the Canadian Securities Exchange. Another Brazilian soccer icon who displayed himself as a crypto proponent is Neymar who purchased a Bored ape for 159.99 ETH while at the time of the transaction, it equaled around $480,000.
Neymar’s digital collectible depicts a monkey wearing a birthday hat with fancy glasses and he even used it as a new Twitter profile picture. This was not his first NFT purchase as he also owns another Ape bought for 190 ETH and in addition, he has NFTs from other collections like the ACESnikers Fashion, Flipped CryptoPunks, and FLipped BAYC.
