Solana’s Wallet Phantom Is Now Available On Android: Report

The Solana’s wallet Phantom is now available on Android after months of releasing the mobile application on iOS so let’s read more in today’s latest crypto news.

One of the popular Solana’s wallets Phantom announced the official launch on Android and the latest development came from the previous launch of the iOS mobile app earlier in 2022. Phantom revealed that the users can now download its mobile app from the Google play store which means they can send, receive, stake, earn and swap tokens and NFTs from anywhere on mobile phones running on Android:

“Newly released features on Phantom such as push notifications and our enhanced ‘Recent Activity’ tab are also live on Android at launch.”

Phantom stated that there was a growing interest from the community during the beta phase and stated that over 50,000 people took part in the testing period of application. The press release also noted that the wallet saw increased adoption on Android from users in India, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Back in 2021, Phantom annoucned more plans to launch the mobile version of the wallet, and later in December, the co-founder said that while the team is focusing on mobile apps, there are plans to add more NFT features like buying and selling.

In the meantime, the Android launch came shortly after the Solana wallet Phantom unveiled its iOS mobile app back in February and also hit unicorn status after raising $109 million from investors like Andreessen Horowitz, Paradigm, Jump capital, and others. With the launch of the wallet on Android, the blog post stated that the innovative features can go live in a few months.

As recently reported, Phantom Wallet is a Solana-focused wallet that announced it will join forces with 1Password as a popular password management platform to make accessing the wallet much more simple. According to the announcement, 1Password will integrate its Save In 1Password API with Phantom. The integration means that rather than having to manage long login credentials made up of strings of characters, words, and numbers the users can save all their Phantom wallet credentials and private keys to the manager.
