Explore the transformative realm of project-based learning (PBL) in this series of engaging edWebinars. Done well, PBL engages the hearts and minds of students in learning and assessment that reaches beyond the walls of school—connecting students to content through relevance and rigor. This series will empower educators with the tools and strategies necessary to create dynamic and student-centered classrooms that empower students to engage in real-world application of learning. Specifically, we’ll explore:

  • Characteristics of high-quality project-based learning
  • Integrating social-emotional and academic skills
  • Infusing authenticity
  • Strategies for launching a project
  • Scaffolding for student success
  • Designing reliable and valid evaluation tools

As part of this series, we’ll use specific examples from The Achievery, a FREE digital learning platform designed to help connect students to a new world of digital learning through stories that spark curiosity and content that entertains and teaches. The platform features clips from some of the most popular, well-loved movies, TV shows, and cartoons from Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network, paired with lessons and learning activities that students can engage with wherever they are—at home, in the community, and in the classroom.

This edWebinar will be of interest to K-12 teachers and school and district leaders. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation. Learn more.
