UnaBiz and Kinéis Provide Satellite IoT Connectivity

IoT service provider UnaBiz partners with New Space satellite operator Kinéis, to custom design end-to-end digital solutions with satellite IoT connectivity for the logistics and transportation industry. Headquartered in Singapore, UnaBiz is a multi-tech IoT service provider. The company has delivered over 1.4 million sensors in 28 countries worldwide.

The 5-year-old scale up has recently raised 25 million US $ in its Series B funding and is looking to grow its capabilities and develop solutions in specific verticals.

Both Kinéis and UnaBiz are focused on creating value for the ecosystem,

We are excited to work with our new partner in the New Space industry as Nanosatellites IoT solutions will complement our existing terrestrial offers, including LPWAN and cellular solutions, providing our partners with a truly global connectivity solution.

Kinéis combines 40-year experience in localization and data collection. They provide low-cost, low-power, direct to satellite IoT connectivity. Currently they have seven operational satellites. Two more will start operating this. In 2023 the company plans to launch a 25-nanosatellite constellation from New Zealand to achieve near real time connectivity.

Complementing cellular and non-cellular terrestrial network, satellite connectivity is useful for applications in asset tracking, maritime, utilities, agriculture, and constructions. To kick off the partnership, the pair will begin the development and commercialization of a seamless global IoT solution that collects data from Kinéis satellite network and integrates them on UnaBiz’s data platform designed for massive scale asset management.
