Lithuania-based NT Service has been contracted to deliver counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UASs) to the Lithuanian military to meet an urgent requirement to combat ‘drones’.

The contract, valued at EUR8.03 million (USD8.72 million) and spanning 36 months, involves the provision of anti-drone dome systems and individual suppressors, according to a contract notice published on 18 March on the European Union tendering website.

In total, 351 anti-drone dome systems – more widely referred to as omnidirectional C-UASs – and 130 individual suppressors are being acquired from NT Service. The purchase has been deemed a “matter of urgency”, the contract notice detailed.
