Blood of Lathander is arguably the best weapon for Shadowheart. It can carry you through the end of the game. The downside is it’s found a bit late into Act 1. Blood of Lathander is a one-handed Mace that deals 1d6 + 3 + Strength modifier bludgeoning damage. It comes with Lathander’s Light which keeps a 6m radius light around you, Lathander’s Blessing which heals you for 2d6 instead of falling unconscious once per Long Rest, and Sunbeam, an amazing level six spell that recharges every Long Rest.

Blood of Lathander is found in a secret chamber in the back of the Creche Y’llek which is found in the basement of the Monastery in Mountain Pass. I recommend following our guide since describing all the steps you need to take here would distract from helping you learn all the best weapons for Shadowheart.

Another great Act 1 weapon for Shadowheart is Knife of the Undermountain King. It’s a very rare one-handed knife that deals 1d6 + 2 + Strength or Dexterity modifier piercing damage. It has Organ Rearranger which reduces the number you need to roll for a Critical Hit by one and Shadow Blade which gives you Advantage against Lightly or Heavily Obscured targets.

Knife of the Undermountain King is also found in the Creche Y’llek, but it’s acquired by buying it (or looting it) from A’jak’nir Jeera who is a Githyanki trader found near the waypoint within the Crech Y’llek.

Best Shadowheart weapons in BG3 Act 2 – Darkfire Shortbow

Baldur’s Gate 3 Act 2 notoriously doesn’t have too many exciting weapons to get. Even though she doesn’t use ranged attacks often, one weapon you shouldn’t miss for Shadowheart is Darkfire Shortbow. It deals 1d6 + 2 + Dexterity modifier piercing damage and has three useful perks. With Darkfire Shortbow, you are resistant to Fire and Cold damage and you gain the ability to cast Haste which doubles your movement speed, adds two to your AC, gives you Advantage on Dexterity Saving Throws, and you get to take another action.

Acquiring Darkfire Shortbow is easy: buy it from Dammon in Last Light Inn. Even if you don’t use Darkfire Shortbow in combat, its perks are too good to miss. It’s even a good weapon for Karlach to use.

Best Shadowheart weapons in BG3 Act 3 – Duellist’s Prerogative

Duellist’s Prerogative is the only weapon that comes close to competing with Blood of Lathander for the best weapon for Shadhowheart. It has 1d8 + 3 + Strength or Dexterity modifier piercing damage and 1d4 Necrotic damage. It has Elegant Duellist which allows you to land Critical Hits with a 19 if your off-hand is empty and perform a second Reaction per turn, Withering Cut which allows you to use a Reaction to deal Necrotic damage equal to your Proficiency Bonus after a melee hit, and Challenge to Duel which is a bonus action that forces an enemy to attack you and you inflict Bleed on them.

To get Duellist’s Prerogative, you need to complete the Save Vanra quest in Act 3. The Save Vanra quest can only be started if you complete the Save Mayrina quest in Act 1 by defeating the Hag. Well, the Hag is back and you need to defeat her again. Upon completing the quest, you’ll get Duellist’s Prerogative.
