When Does Mauer Der Toten Come Out?

It looks like Treyarch is going to reveal the release date for Mauer Der Toten, the third Round-Based Zombies map to be added to Black Ops Cold War, later today. A new Gameplay Trailer is inbound and it should confirm the rumoured release date below.

LATEST – New Gameplay Trailer Inbound

Treyarch has just confirmed that we’re getting a new Gameplay Trailer for Mauer Der Toten and that has to mean a release date reveal is imminent. You can check out the short teaser for the full trailer below:

Based on the timings of the teasers, we’re expecting the new Gameplay Trailer to be released between 09:00 PST / 12:00 EST / 17:00 BST and 10:00 PST / 13:00 EST / 18:00 BST.

It should be a couple of minutes and reveal a lot more about the new map, Wonder Weapon, and any new Special or Elite enemies we are going to be facing off against. Hopefully, we’ll see Weaver too!

Mauer Der Toten To Get Modular Wonder Weapon

We still don’t have a confirmed release date, presumably because Treyarch hates us, but we do have a new look at the Mauer Der Toten Wonder Weapon via a faux blueprint with blacked-out words. It’s something we’ve seen before, as Firebase Z’s R.A.I. K-84 was given the same treatment ahead of launch, so we’re pretty confident that we’re looking at the new Wonder Weapon.

As you can see in the Tweet below, it looks like there’s going to be a modular feature for the new Wonder Weapon as we can see a number of variations on the base weapon. This is, in a way, similar to Die Maschine’s D.I.E. Machine. The D.I.E. Shockwave is the basic firing mode of the weapon but there’s various Ammo Mods around the map that can alter how it fires.

We don’t know for sure what the new Wonder Weapon is called just yet, but we’re expecting to find out more in the coming days.

Mauer Der Toten Intel Recap

Treyarch has released an “intel recap” for Mauer Der Toten ahead of further information. We’ve been seeing small teasers over the last couple of weeks and it looks like the team behind Black Ops Cold War are gearing up for an undead-themed mid-season update for the title.

Below, we’ve got the latest word on what Treyarch has shared about Mauer Der Toten so far:

” If you’ve been keeping up with our social channels, you’ve also seen the state of Berlin after the recent undead invasion, Omega Group’s plans to keep the truth hidden from the public, and Colonel Kravchenko’s true motivation behind capturing the Requiem strike team for his own ends. “

If that doesn’t make any sense, we’ve also got the teasers being shared on said “social channels” below in chronological order. It’s also worth noting that Treyarch has promised us a look at the new “technology” in play soon. Basically, Wonder Weapon news is on the way.

When Does The New Zombies Map Come Out?

At the moment, Treyarch hasn’t shared anything specific regarding the release date for Mauer Der Toten. That doesn’t mean we don’t know when to expect it! We know it’s going to be “arriving mid-season”, but when is this?

Rumour has it that Mauer Der Toten is slated for a July 15th release and we’re inclined to agree with this. That isn’t just because we want to play Mauer Der Toten (even though we do), but it lines up with the idea that it is going to release as one of the several mid-season updates and follows on from Firebase Z’s release as a mid-season Zombies content drop.

Of course, it’s worth taking this with a grain of salt until we hear something more official from Treyarch and their social channels. For now, all we have is this array of teasers and one short Teaser Trailer clip from the Season 4 reveal.
