KPMG Unveils Blockchain Based Climate Accounting Infrastructure

The Canadian branch of the global accounting firm KPMG has purchased a World of Women (WoW) NFT just weeks after adding Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) to its corporate treasury. KPMG Canada Jumps on the NFT Bandwagon KPMG Canada just brought its first non-fungible token from the World of Women (WoW) NFT collection. The NFT Woman #2681, was purchased on Feb. 13 for 25 ETH before being transferred to a separate wallet. In addition, the company also registered its wallet address as kpmgca.eth with Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domain name. This acquisition reflects our belief not only in the continued growth of NFTS, but in the value of [World of Women] and its mission.” KPMG isn’t the first corporate entity to jump on the NFT bandwagon. Earlier last year, payment giant Visa bought a CryptoPunk for $150,000. The floor price for the CryptoPunks collection currently sits at $193,000. The Meteoric Rise of WoW NFTs Since its launch, World of Women (WoW) has seen a meteoric rise to the top of blue-chip NFTs with a current floor price of 8.5 ETH worth about $24,000 on OpenSea. The project received mainstream recognition from actress Reese Witherspoon, whose media company Hello Sunshine partnered with the NFT project in February.
