ALL it took was a handful of days.

It hit the market, people swarmed the property to catch a glimpse first hand, and then, naturally, it was secured by new owners.

This was the story for No.14 Brushy Creek Rd, Lenah Valley, a special ‘60s era retro property that had the Hobart market buzzing.

The property was only online for a few days, but it zoomed to the top of realestate.com.au’s Tassie most-viewed homes chart.

Listed with Knight Frank’s Abi Freeman and Jack Waller, the four-bedroom house was sold within five days.

Mr Waller said the campaign was a whirlwind.

“We were inundated with inquiries about this property,” he said.

“We had over 100 people through the home within the first three days on the market.”

While that sounds fast, it was not surprising.

“Mid-century modern homes usually attract strong interest, particularly when they are in sought-after locations like Lenah Valley,” Mr Waller said.

“This was further fuelled by investor interest, due to the separate one-bedroom flat downstairs.

“A local buyer fought off strong competition to secure the property and plans to retain the best of the retro features.”
