Inside new NBA champion Giannis Antetokounmpo’s $2.4 million mansion

Fresh off a historic win leading the Milwaukee Bucks to their first championship in half a century, Giannis Antetokounmpo is flying high.

Scoring a total of 50 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks as their superstar forward, Antetokounmpo — who lovingly earned the nickname “Greek Freak” — gave a legendary performance this week that, up until now, only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson had ever done.

But it was a two-year-old Kobe Bryant prophecy that had the internet going wild.

In a June 2019 tweet, the late Bryant predicted that Antetokounmpo would not only earn another MVP title but was destined for a championship in no time.

“My man….M.V.P. Greatness. 🙌🏾💪🏾 Next up: Championship. #MambaMentality,” Bryant wrote on Twitter.

The Bucks ultimately beat the Phoenix Suns 105-98 in Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

And the Greek-born athlete has a sweet pad to celebrate in.

Located in the upscale neighbourhood of River Hills, Wisconsin, the home has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, spanning nearly 920 sqm.

Antetokounmpo, 26, first bought the property in 2018 for $1.8 million (AUD$2.44 million) — two years after signing a four-year $100 million (AUD$135.5 million) extension with the Bucks in 2016.

Described as “luxury living,” the home features expansive rooms with an open-concept kitchen and a family room that leads to the backyard, according to the listing.

On the main level is a vaulted ceiling sunroom that has its own two-way fireplace.

The primary suite features two large walk-in wardrobes, an expansive spa bath with a walk-in shower and a separate bath.

Upstairs are five additional bedrooms and a bonus room with a loft.

Amenities include a wet bar, game room, home theatre, wine cellar, fitness room, a pool and a separate heated garage.

Antetokounmpo was eligible for the NBA draft in 2013, where he was selected as the first-round pick by the Bucks. He made his NBA debut on October 13, 2013 at the age of 18.

After winning his first NBA title and being crowned the NBA Finals MVP, Antetokounmpo now had a decorated NBA resume — having already won the regular season MVP award twice, as well as the All-Star game MVP.

He has been named to the all NBA first team three times, won the Defensive Player of the Year award once, and also been named the league’s Most Improved Player.
